Please see Etsy store for complete design line-up and selection, and to see in-stock items only on etsy, and shown as such with 2-8 day shipping processing times. In stock art is shown on etsy but can be shifted here for orders and sent much sooner: www.etsy.com/shop/CopperPhoenixArt   (Links to same items on etsy are in the listing here for comparison purposes) (Amazon.com and more coming soon...) I make all items myself by hand and it can take time to produce things, as well as vary in time on creating some pieces, and so the shipping timeframes are good approximations of when items can be made and sent. Copper is a timeless metal as it does not rust, is relatively soft and malleable, yet durable and strong to the end, making it an ideal metal and medium to work in for sculpture and fountain art. Copper is extremely conducive to color, giving a variety of hues, noted in the heat of a torch, right down to the chemical oxidation, using applied specialty liquids to achieve the beautiful blues and greens of patina. Torch effects are also added for stunning contrasts.

Extra fountain details:

A unique fountain with fully three-dimensional ornate cattails and Water Lily flower sculptural decor; all created with great attention to detail. Each flower was hand crafted and torch colored red. It features multiple coats of high-quality gloss metal finish for lasting beauty. Aside from its size and aesthetic appeal, it is a very special piece in that the water has been centralized in flow between the Lily Pads which helps isolate the water directing it down to the bowl center making the overall water volume in the bowl last longer while not compromising on the beautiful sounds it makes: the prettiest part of this piece, where the sporadic water flow seems to dance to music it is making itself. This also creates a unique look. Another subtle benefit of the Lily Pads is that they descend in a size gradient, getting larger as they near the bottom of the bowl, which adds aesthetic balance and draws the eye toward the water as it drops between the Lily Pads. The water evocative of a gentle rain trickling to a pond's surface.
Another unique aspect of this fountain's fabrication and aesthetic intent, is that over a long period of time the refined sheet copper goes from the warm orange and yellow copper tones to a verdigris, and so this piece has also been designed with this natural visual color change concept in mind; eventually transforming from the glowing warm amber-copper colors, to it becoming many years down the road, a blend of greens, some blues maybe, and the warm red and browns of the metal. While all of the copper fountains oxidize (primarily where the water flow is channeled and resides in the bowl and fountain) the original amber tones of the sheet copper are like the leaves of "Fall", and so over time, more aptly grow to resemble a leaf that is coming to life, growing greener as time goes on; the aging of the metal merely figuratively put, ushering in "Spring"...
